We have published our nationally examined patent for 'A METHOD AND A WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM BASED ON ARTIFICIAL BEE COLONIES FOR OPTIMAL OPERATION OF MULTIPLE PUMPS FOCUSED ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY', which we developed in cooperation with the University, Public and Industry.
Within the scope of this patent; in order to be able to operate the pumps with an energy efficiency focus in water basins or catchment areas where more than one pump feeds a tank, an artificial intelligence based optimization system that decides which pumps will work / will not work and at what frequency the pumps will operate has been proposed. The algorithm gives priority to filling the tank level when the water need increases according to the water level of the tank, and when the water need decreases, it takes decisions to reduce the energy consumption of the pumps and realizes energy efficiency. Based on the artificial bee colony (ABC) optimization algorithm, the system can send automatic commands to all pumps included in the system at least every 2 minutes, depending on the tank level. In this way, the entire system can operate autonomously at the optimum point.
